What we actually do
We keep it online
Uptime monitoring every minute from outside our own network. Overnight, recovery is automated; during 09:00 to 17:30 CET, Monday to Friday a person is watching. We publish no uptime percentage, because one person cannot honour one honestly, and we would rather say that than print a number we would breach.
We keep it patched
WordPress core and plugin updates on a weekly window, with a check before and after, so an update that breaks your layout gets caught by us and not by your customers.
We keep a copy
Daily backups held off-site at a different provider, encrypted, kept 14 days. We restore a backup into a scratch environment and query it, so we know the backups work rather than assuming they do.
We answer
Email, 09:00 to 17:30 CET, Monday to Friday. One person, one queue, no ticket tiers and no script. Outside those hours nothing is answered until the next working morning, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
The person behind it
I am Sean Jeremiah Vella St John. I have been keeping other people's WordPress sites running for years, mostly for businesses small enough that the person who writes to me is also the person who owns the company.
I started Borgohost because that work is worth doing properly, at a price you can see in advance. There is no team, no queue and no script: you get me, in Malta, in CET. If I cannot fix something I will tell you that too.

That is a real registered address in Ghaxaq, given in full on ourlegal notice, a real VAT number you can check against the EU VIES register, and a real name on the invoices. Nothing on this page is a brand: it is one person, registered as a sole trader in Malta, and all of it is checkable before you spend anything.

Pricing
EUR 6.00 a month per website. Less if you prepay.
What we do not do
- No phone support. Email only, and we say so rather than hiding it.
- No domain registration and no DNS hosting. You keep your registrar and point one record at us.
- No email hosting and no outbound mail from our servers.
- No unlimited anything. Every limit is a number, written down in the Acceptable Use Policy.
- No uptime percentage, for the reason given above.
- No stock photography, no invented awards, no customer logos we do not have.
