Complaints and out-of-court redress
How to complain, what we do with it, and exactly where to go if we cannot settle it between us.

Complain to us first
Email support@borgohost.com and say what went wrong and what you want done about it. There is no form and no reference number to obtain first.
| Acknowledgement | Within 2 working days. |
|---|---|
| A substantive answer | Within 10 working days. If it will take longer, we tell you why and when. |
| Who answers | The person who runs Borgohost. There is no escalation tier, because there is nobody to escalate to, and pretending otherwise would just cost you a week. |
Working days mean 09:00 to 17:30 CET, Monday to Friday.
If we cannot settle it
You do not need our agreement to go to any of these, and using them does not cost you your right to go to court.
Office for Consumer Affairs, MCCAA
The Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority handles consumer complaints against Maltese traders and offers conciliation. This is the usual first external step for a consumer.
Consumer Claims Tribunal
A Maltese tribunal for low-value consumer claims. Deliberately cheap and informal, and you do not need a lawyer. It is the proportionate route for a dispute about a subscription of this size.
The courts of Malta
Always open to you. Our terms are governed by Maltese law, and if you are a consumer that does not deprive you of the protection of the law of your own country of residence.
Your data protection authority
For a complaint about personal data, you can go to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta, or to the supervisory authority where you live. See the Privacy Policy.
There is no EU ODR platform route
You may have seen other sites link to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform, or be told that a trader must provide one. That platform closed on 20 July 2025 and the regulation behind it was repealed. We do not link to it, because a link to a dead complaints channel is worse than no link: it looks like a route and it is not.
We are not signed up to any certified alternative dispute resolution body. If we ever are, this page will name it, along with its address and website, because naming it is the part that makes it useful.
Content and account decisions
If your complaint is about us disabling content or suspending a site, the review route is in the notice and action policy instead. Reply to the statement of reasons we sent you and we will look again.
